CAHUENGA PASS

Cahuenga Pass San Fernando Valley

Cahuenga Pass Map San Fernando Valley

Arguably the most difficult to pronounce area in the SFV, the Cahuenga Pass is the gateway from the LA Basin to the San Fernando Valley. Once you pass the Hollywood Bowl, prepare to enter the 818 via the 101. The only sounds you'll be hearing are hikers and Hollywood Hills neighbors.

If you’re lucky enough to be traveling on the northbound 101 during high traffic, your GPS may well redirect you through the Pass’ windy streets. Here you will discover post and beam houses, hidden mansions, and celebrity homes. You can always turn that rush hour misery into happy hour delight by stopping off for a hibiscus margarita and nacho carnitas at Mercado. Make no mistake, the Cahuenga Pass is a sweet little spot with lovely hiking trails, the 45-acre John Anson Ford Amphitheater, and breath-taking views perfect for your nature-themed Instagram selfies.
