PACOIMA

In the three mile radius around Pacoima’s City Hall, the residents of one of L.A.’s oldest neighborhoods created a cultural landmark called “Mural Mile.” Reflecting the heart of their community in vibrant colors, local artist Levi Ponce and his painting posse have completely reimagined Pacoima’s gray walls into stunning works of art that attract walking tours and special trips up the 5 Fwy by art aficionados.
You’ll also want to check out Valens Park’s long list of impressive amenities, far too many to name here. The park was named for Ritchie Valens, Pacoima native and forefather of Chicano rock.

VERDICT
Although Pacoima doesn’t get the best rap, it makes up for it in home value appreciation and affordability. It’s important to remember that crime as a whole is decreasing considerably.
