SAN FERNANDO

San Fernando, only slightly to be confused with the San Fernando Valley, certainly is a cultural icon. With a deep history and an architecture reminiscent of the Spanish missionaries, San Fernando is a worthwhile place to spend a Sunday afternoon. And for many families, it's a place to call home.

Although San Fernando doesn't have the highest income, it has a strong real estate market and a bright future. Gentrification plans are finally panning out. Only recently has a new, progressive government board begun to push the city into the future. Buy a home in San Fernando. In a few years, you'll be happy you did.

VERDICT

The City of San Fernando has seen government changes and revitalization as commercial and cultural center of the SFV. Expect gentrification and rising property prices. Until then, San Fernando remains a middle-of-the-pack location.
