STUDIO CITY

It got its name in 1927, since it was home to CBS Studio Center, but that’s not the only studio you’ll find in this town that borders Hollywood Hills. Universal Studios is in spitting distance, with its own subway stop and pedestrian bridge. Then there are those other kind of studios, of the healthy variety. There are 29 yoga and fitness studios in Studio City’s 6 square mile radius. When these indoor fitness fanatics want a little outdoors, they park their hybrids and bring their rescue dogs to Fryman Canyon for the stunning views, celebrity sightings, and the sweet smell of mulch from the environmental warriors at TreePeople.
Some of the best eats and drinks in the SFV can be found in Studio City. From Laurel Tavern’s pork belly skewers, to Sun Cafe’s raw zucchini lasagna, to Sugar Fish’s Trust Me omakase sushi, it’s no wonder the locals are so fond of their workouts.
