VALLEY GLEN
Valley Glen takes a lot of pride in being one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley. Just take a look at “The Great Wall of Los Angeles,” a half-mile long mural painted on the wall of the Tujunga wash. It showcases the history of California through the eyes of women and minorities and is one of the longest murals in the world. Not so bad for this sweet 4 square mile ‘hood.
Adjacent to North Hollywood, it’s a straight four mile shot to the Burbank Airport, and a six mile hop on the 134 to play with the Minions and Harry Potter at Universal Studios. With seven public schools and six private, parents can keep a close eye to make their kids are ready for college. Speaking of which, LA Valley College is right on Fulton Avenue, offering UC credit courses, community classes and hands down the best gymnastics training facility in all of the SFV.

It may not look like much, but inside this hole in the wall is some of the best Thai food in the Valley. The food is crafted with the quintessential flavors that has made Thai food so iconic. The only problem is you won’t know which delectable item to choose off their menu.
NUMERO UNO PIZZA (6420 ½ COLDWATER CANYON AVE.)
There’s a reason this cozy family pizzeria is number one, and it’s not just because of the name. Soft crust, savory sauce, gooey cheese, and all the toppings you could ask for and more.
TOP FALAFEL (6424 COLDWATER CANYON AVE.)
This hole in the wall dishes out the tastiest gyros, meat platters, and, you guessed it, falafel. Come for the authentic Greek cuisine, friendly cooks, and hummus that is simply to die for.
VERDICT
Valley Glen stays near the hustle and bustle of NoHo, Burbank, and Glendale, while keeping its distance from the traffic.
